Today's quote reminds me to step back and know my Father. In today's prayer thought, it is through my practice of silence that I will come to know my Father. How can I know if my mind is busy and I'm distracted? I can't. Only through the quieting of my thoughts will I be able to hear His Voice speak to me. My brother is merely a reflection that I have placed in front of me. How do I treat the reflection of myself? With love? With fear? Isn't love the key to end the dream here? Each brother in front of me shows me myself, the unhealed places in my mind, if that brother seems to disturb my peace. So when my soon to be 20 yr old daughter is adamant about her beliefs and what she wants to do, where is it in me that I am just as bullheaded and unyielding? Dare I say that I am not that way? I know better, because I can be the same. How about just accepting us both as the children of God that we are? Do I need to change my brother's mind? Why do I have the desire to do so?
