Lesson 74 – There is no will but God’s.
In the movie King Kong, the beast is seen to be spending most of his time in a state of anger and rage because he is attempting to pursue what he perceives to be beauty in the world but he cannot obtain it. His persistence in pursuing beauty in the world only brings him constant irritation, rage and unpeace. In the end, the pursuit of seeming happiness in the world ultimately destroys him. This is the only message the ego has for us. It is that the pursuit of happiness and joy will ultimately destroy us in the end. This is not true but it is true that true happiness and joy lies not in this world. It is found within yourself. The only time during the movie that the beast is observed to be in a state of peace is when he is resting quietly in….
